"Die Nummer"The musical kernel consisted of 2 former core parts of "Concrete Jungle" (Wolfgang Bathelt on drums and Christof Külske on piano/keyboards). We started as a trio and placed a demo at the organizers of the "Dortmunder Rockpreis".Wolfgang insisted on an additional saxplayer (Günther Menger, the only saxman I really respect so far. I intrinsically dislike sax, most of the players are musical chatterers in my view). Christof really wasn't anymore up to playing the basslines on the keyboard so we went for a bassplayer too. This turned out as an unwise decision - we changed bassplayers every half a year but...became 1992's winner of the "Dortmunder Rockpreis" in the genre "Independent", featuring Jörg Kendzia on bass."Die Nummer" existed until ca 1994, then dissolved out of different reasons (one of them the never-solved bassplayer-problem).

1994 I did 4 totally different things at the same time:I joined"AirRawMüller Experience"as a singer and not-very-much-trumpetplayer. Style of the band: Mainstream-Rock + Alternative. Some really cool Gigs. In the same year I debarked again - personal differences. Meanwhile they are all talking again with me (with the exeption of one).At the same time I was still frontman of"Insert Coin",entertaining people on students-weddings.Then I became acquainted with Steve Williams. He had come over from Chicago as a G.I. and then somehow stuck to Europe.I acquired Frank Mellies (drummer of "Schwitters.."), someone knew a good bassplayer, Yulyus Golombeck promised his ingenious guitarplay. We called the band"Magnus D"Project No 4:In September I had a solo gig,only me and equipment on stage.The Gig was in the FZW, Dortmundand I used the name"Moonbeam"as avatar for that show.
